The Joint Commission has released Improving Americas Hospitals: The Joint Commission’s Annual Report on Quality and Safety 2010 to accredited hospitals, Joint Commission advisory groups, key stakeholders and the press. According to the report, Joint Commission-accredited hospitals in the United States are providing higher-quality, evidence-based care for heart attack, pneumonia, surgical care and childrens asthma care. The report presents scientific evidence of improvement and how it relates to these common medical conditions and procedures.
