ILS offers both
oral
interpreting and written
translation
services in order to help clients provide equal
access to health care and other vital services for the Limited
English Proficient (LEP) community. Since its inception, ILS has
hired, trained, mentored and continually evaluated hundreds of
interpreters who each day serve hospitals and businesses by
interpreting for patients and clients with limited English skills.
These highly-trained interpreters provide a valuable communication
link between patients seeking medical care and their healthcare
providers as well as other businesses and their LEP clients.
The story of ILS is industry-leading quality and
professional standards. ILS started out in 2000 as the backup agency
for its first clients. As health care providers gained experience
with the professionalism of ILS interpreters, they began to request
only ILS-trained interpreters for their appointments. Over time, ILS
has become the dominant provider in the Midwest and is currently
expanding to additional markets. |
